How Far in Advance Should I Place My Order?
Usually a few weeks in advance will do for celebration cakes, but we can book up months in advance during wedding season. To be safe, get in touch with us as soon as you know the date of your party. For wedding cakes, most clients book us as soon as they know they’re engaged—that way they’re much more likely to secure their wedding date.
How Do I Place an Order?
Please fill out and submit the Order a Fabulous Cake form on the contact page. We will contact you with a quote or to set up a design appointment. Or you can send an email to: email@example.com! In your email, please let us know the date of the event, how many people the cake will serve and as many details as possible about the cake you’re ordering for your special occasion.
How Much Are Your Cakes?
Our custom-made cakes are priced individually and start at $6 per serving. More detailed cakes typically fall into the $8 – $10 per serving range depending on the labor involved. After a design consultation, either over the phone or in person, we will give you a sketch and quote for your creation.
Carved (3D) cakes of any size start at $150.
How Do I Pay For My Cake and Secure My Date?
All orders require a 50% non-refundable deposit at the time of the order to hold the date, with the balance due two (2) weeks prior to delivery/pick up. Cake orders placed with less than two weeks notice require payment in full at the time of ordering. We accept all major credit cards and checks, as well as good old fashioned cash.
Can I Schedule a Tasting Appointment?
After we chat on the phone about your special event, we’ll either invite you in for a design consultation and tasting, or arrange a time for you to swing by and pick up a tasting box. There is a non-refundable $45 deposit required for tasting appointments. For orders over $500, this deposit will be deducted from the final cost of your cake.
Can I Visit Your Studio?
Sorry to disappoint, but we’re not that kind of bakery. We are by-appointment only. Since we make everything to order, I’m afraid we are not open to the public as a walk-in place to buy sweet treats.
Do You Deliver?
We sure do! Our standard delivery range is roughly within one hour of Downtown Saint Louis. Longer deliveries are determined on a case by case basis. Delivery fees are calculated by distance traveled.
We don’t recommend clients self-transport carved/3D cakes, or cakes over 10 inches tall and are not responsible for any damage that may occur to any client-transported cake once it has left our studio (although if we can, we will do anything we can to help).
Do You Ship/Mail Cakes?
Nope! We won't even attempt it. All of our cakes are either picked up by the client or hand-delivered by the studio. Too much time and effort goes into creating our detailed cakes, and we like to make sure that they arrive in perfect condition.
Any Policies I Should Know About?
• Orders are not confirmed until we receive your signed contract and 50% non-refundable deposit. If we do not receive these within five (5) business days of your quote, your date may become unavailable.
• Wedding cake designs/flavor selections need to be finalized at least thirty (30) days before the event. Changes after this point cannot be guaranteed, and may result in additional costs.
• If you cancel your order within five (5) business days of the event, your balance payment is still due.
